To participate, you’ll need to submit:
1. A scanned copy of your invention logbook

2. Photographs or a PDF of your display board

3. A 6-minute video pitch

4. Picture of your prototype (it can be functional or non-functional)

The deadline for registration is 30 September 2021. For registered inventors only, submission is extended to 15 October 2021. Scroll down to see the submission requirements.

Primary 3 to Post-Secondary inventors (9 – 19 years old) will participate in live judging during the convention. Kindergarten to Primary 2 inventors (5 – 8 years old) will be judged asynchronously by an international team of judges.

The results will be announced live at our awards ceremony on 10 December 2021. We look forward to celebrating your hard work and ingenuity!

What is required for the registration and submission?

Display Board

The display board explains your inventing processes and learning experiences in a way that attracts others’ attention.

Invention Logbook

The invention log tells the entire story of your invention. It is a record of every step you took in making your invention — what you did, why you did it, and how you did it. It’s an important part of the invention process that documents your ideas, plans, and processes in creating your invention.

Prototype

Submit a picture of your prototype (working or non-working). You’ll demonstrate or talk about how your prototype works when you pitch to the judges.

Video Pitch

Upload a video recording of your invention pitch. Judges will watch it before your live judging session (for Primary 3 to Post-Secondary inventors).
