    Shiyi first participated in the Singapore Invention Convention in 2022. His invention, SEF Transformer (Stack-Extend-Fold Transformer Table), is a modular attachment for desks. It's designed to maximize your table space while working from home. He won 1st place in his grade category.

  • Singapore Invention Convention 2023

    The Cloud Cup

    Shiyi returned to the Singapore Invention Convention in 2023 with his new invention, The Cloud Cup. Inspired by the Namib Desert Beetle, the Cloud Cup harvests water from the moisture in the air, ensuring the user will always have a supply of clean drinking water. For his efforts, Shiyi was announced the winner of 1st place in the Primary 5 category and the Oodles Learning Young Visionary Award. Shiyi also represented Singapore in the inaugural Global Youth Invention Summit in Connecticut.
