Roundup of Days1 and 2.

November 16, 2020 marked the opening of the Invention Convention Singapore Open Nationals with world leading guest speakers, Dr. Chong Yoke Sin, Prof Jake Mendelssohn, Neo Ee Ping and Dr. Marci Klein. 

The first invention team to debut their “Biocompost Bin” is from Hanoi, Vietnam judged by Neo Ee Ping from KidsGlobal, Richard Giam, CEO of RainMakerZ and Wallace Lim, Acting Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Temasek Polytechnic.

Day 2 melts our hearts as 3 groups of inventors presented their real-world solutions.

  • Team 1 from Bangkok, Thailand demonstrated their “Breeze Bag”
  • Addison, a Grade 5 Independent Inventor from St Joseph’s Junior School presented “Workpal
  • Isabella, another independent inventor from  Sengkang Green Primary School showcased her working prototype, the “All-in-one-box“. Kudos to all our inventors!

Day 2 judges were: Benny Kan from A.D. Ventures H.K,  Imran Shah from Changkat Changi Secondary, and Jeannette Chan from St. James’s Place Wealth Management, U.S. Veteran Judge Jake Mendelssohn,  Khalid Othman from Changkat Changi Secondary School and Angela Yang, Deputy Director, PAP Community Foundation.  Thank you judges!
